NY HR WEEK NEWS RELEASE

Next Month’s HR in Healthcare™ Conference Promises to be Educational Destination
for the Healthcare Industry’s Senior HR Practitioners

-Inaugural Event Debuts as Part of Popular NY HR Week™ Event; Early Bird Registration Available Until March 28-

HORSHAM, Pa. (March 26, 2008) – HR professionals attending Human Resource Executive® Conferences’ HR in Healthcare™ Conference, being held April 15 – 17, 2008, will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders in the healthcare industry. The conference is part of the 6th Annual NY HR Week™ event at the Hilton Hotel, easily accessible in New York City.

Scripps Health, Lee Memorial Health System, Griffin Hospital and Healthcare Performance Solutions – as well as a number of HR vendors serving the specific needs of the healthcare industry – will be on hand. Consult A Doctor, Corporate Synergies, HIP GHI, International Medical Resources, Mercer, Perceptive Software, Pinstripe and WorkSTEPS are among the exhibitors at HR in Healthcare™.

Jill Schwieters, executive vice president, Pinstripe Healthcare, said, “We are pleased to be participating in the HR in Healthcare™ Conference this year. Talent and recruiting challenges are not new to the healthcare industry; however, it is refreshing to see healthcare organizations start to more aggressively seek new solutions to these problems.” Schwieters added, “With the significant shortages that are already impacting the industry in a variety of roles from nursing to transcriptionists, it is time for healthcare to look to other industries for best practices. There is no short term solution to solving the healthcare talent shortage so it is critical to look for proactive and disciplined approaches to win the war for talent in the markets they serve."

The healthcare industry faces a growing number of unique HR challenges. For example, as the supply of nurses dwindles domestically, more organizations are seeking to source and recruit nurses globally. The ability to understand the differences in nursing practices across different geographies as well as immigration requirements and cultural differences means HR professionals in the healthcare sector must be armed with the right knowledge and tools to be effective in recruiting and retaining nurses.

One of HR in Healthcare™’s most anticipated events is a panel moderated by Tom Olivo, founding partner, Healthcare Performance Solutions. Joining Olivo are George Mikitarian, president and CEO of Titusville, Florida-based Parrish Medical Center; Joan K. Mollohan, senior vice president, human resources of New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System; and Craig Morley, CFO of Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare. The panelists will discuss “The State of HR in Healthcare” and delve into how HR can help make healthcare organizations more effective, adaptive and creative. Mikitarian will also present a separate session on creating a culture that attracts, retains and motivates the highest levels of physician engagement.

The early bird registration of $995 is in effect for HR in Healthcare registrations received on or before March 28, 2008. After March 28, the registration fee is $1,095. The fee includes attendance at all available sessions, continental breakfast each morning, refreshment breaks, luncheons, evening reception, admission to the Expo Hall and a comprehensive set of program materials. Attendees also have the option of purchasing the NY HR Week Super Pass in order to attend the sessions from all three conferences and as well as their choice of pre-conference symposiums. Super Pass attendees also receive conference materials for sessions from all three conferences. The Super Pass early bird fee is $1,295 for registrations received on or before March 28, 2008. After that date, the Super Pass is $1,395.
