CHICAGO (September 21, 2009) — The winners of Human Resource Executive® magazine’s 21st Annual Top HR and Top Training Products of the Year will be recognized at a special awards luncheon during the 12th Annual HR Technology® Conference at McCormick Place in Chicago, September 30, 2009. The editors of Human Resource Executive spent hundreds of hours reviewing product demonstrations and conducting research in order to select their picks for the best HR products of the year. Products were judged on innovation, user-friendliness and the value they add to the HR profession.

Human Resource Executive® is now in its 21st year of recognizing excellence and innovation in the HR vendor community with its Top HR and Top Training Products Awards. Judging from the high quality of this year’s submissions, the recession has not stopped innovation. We received a record number of entries, which we pruned down to 10 HR and five training products. The 15 products are, in our estimation, the best of those solutions, capable of delivering on their promises and of making HR’s job easier,” commented David Shadovitz, vice president/editor & publisher of Human Resource Executive® and co-chair of the conference.

Dayforce Workforce Performance, by Dayforce Inc., is an enterprise application with comprehensive workforce-management functionality, including workforce budgeting, labor planning, scheduling, task management, time and attendance, skills management, HRMS and employee self-service.

The Recruiting Dashboard, by Jobs2Web, provides companies with a real-time, accurate and full view of their interactive recruiting efforts and helps them to know what their cost per visitor, applicant and ultimately their cost per hire is for each source.

PreVisor Front Line Manager, by PreVisor, is a Web-based pre-hire assessment tool specifically designed to measure job fit for managerial candidates. The tool covers a broad range of capabilities, such as personality, prioritizing, decision-making and cognitive abilities.

HireVue, by HireVue Inc., is an online video interviewing solution that enables businesses to screen job candidates remotely using the Internet and Webcams.

mPassport, by HTH Worldwide, is a Web page tailored to mobile devices that enable individuals traveling and working abroad to enter a city, then find doctors, hospitals or pharmacies in that area.

Taleo Business Edition Perform, by Taleo Corp, helps small and mid-sized businesses define and monitor the “full employee review lifecycle.” Featuring goals management and a behavioral competencies library, managers can initiate the review process from their desktops and support employee self-appraisals, manager assessments and multi-rater reviews.

ResumePal, by Jobfox, is a free, universal online job application that allows job seekers to easily and quickly complete applications. The candidate fills out an online profile that includes key elements of his or her resume, and information is then pre-populated on the applications offered via many applicant-tracking systems.

HR Acuity On-Demand, by HR Acuity, is a Software-as-a-Service solution that allows HR professionals to conduct workplace investigations into possible misconduct and includes a consistent five-step methodology for conducting such probes.

Peopleclick Interview Scheduling, by Peopleclick, is a self-service solution for scheduling and accepting large volumes of interview invitations online, with the aim of encouraging advanced coordination between interviewers and job candidates during the interview phase of the hiring process.

euHReka OnDemand, by NorthgateArinso, is the first HCM solution, based on the SAP ERP HCM solution, to be delivered via Software-as-a-Service. It is designed to provide full integration between administrative HR processes and talent-management processes.

Top Training Products:
Influencer Training, by VitalSmarts, is a two-day training course that teaches HR professionals how to influence behavior in individuals and teams or throughout their organization.

TalentSIM Leadership Simulation, by Censeo Corp., is an interactive training video that allows users to follow along with five company leaders dealing with challenging (but fictional) work-related conundrums, presented with live actors and narration.

Halogen eLearning Manager, by Halogen Software, integrates fully with Halogen eAppraisal, providing learning managers with the ability to link their training programs to the development and succession needs of the organization.

Myers-Briggs ThinkBox, by CPP Inc., in collaboration with ThinkWise, provides an on-demand, Web-based learning environment based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator tool for continued, informal learning.

The Investigator, by Kognito Interactive, is a Web-based, interactive learning simulation designed to teach HR managers how to effectively investigate complaints of workplace misconduct, such as sexual harassment, retaliation and unethical behavior
